Wildling Winter

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello.  Gail here today sharing a card using the gorgeous Mistletoe Goth from Lost Coast Designs.

I love this stamp.  So much beautiful detail and so many lovely ways to play.

I started with a piece of card I had used to mop up some dylusion sprays.  I'm always a bit heavy handed with these and end up swimming in colour!!  I picked a bit I liked, stamped Mistletoe Goth and embossed with black powder.

In addition to the random dylusion spray colours, I used Galaxy markers to add colour to her eyes, lips, nails and the leaves.  I used a white gel pen for the berries and highlights.  I fussy cut the left hand side of the image and also selected point around the image.  At these cut points I added numbers die cut from black glitter card using a sizzix die.

I stuck my image panel over a black glitter card base, leaving a strip of the card base showing.  I die cut Stamplorations Joyeux Noel from black card and stuck it over the black glittery strip.
By the by......  English speakers borrowed the word noel from Old French meaning "the Christmas season."  It can be traced further back to the Latin word natalis, which can mean "birthday" as a noun or "of or relating to birth" as an adjective, in Church Latin a reference to the birthday of Christ.
Gosh, the things we learn as we craft.

Thanks for dropping by.  Our current challenge is NUMBERS.  Link up your stamped numerical makes before midnight, 25th September for a chance to win some Lost Coast dollars and to get some love and comments from the team.  Hugz

Bold colors and striking image make this a fabulous card! On another note, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a note regarding my lack of stamping on my green golf card entry. The "birthday greetings" sentiment was indeed stamped with Black ink which in my mind qualified it for entering your challenge. Thanks for providing your fabulous card inspiration and card challenges. :) Marie
